Dr. Howard Simon at Upstate Bariatric is awesome!! His partner is Dr. Kim (who I hear is great too). I love the support from the center. I get fast support via email from NUT and NP whenever I need it. I traveled from Rome to Syracuse for the surgery and it was totally worth it! I 'd be happy to talk with you about it!

I'm going with Dr. Johnson at Highland Hospital and I too have BluePoint 2 select. So far I've paid $15 for the nutritional visits. I've heard of a lot of problems with Rochester General's program and well, Highland is the center of excellence, not RGH. That's what made the decision for me.

Topic: surgery rescheduled w/Dr. Garber
I am so disappointed I had a surgery date of 6/14/10 and was counting down the days. Now I am told Dr. Garber has to cancel 2 weeks worth of surgery dates which will be rescheduled due to some sort of new equipment being installed in the operating room at Mercy Hospital. They haven't been able to give me a new date yet and say they hope to have a new schedule by next Mon. or Tues. I know everything happens for a reason but I would like a better reason then this. Can't they install the equipment on a Saturday or Sunday. It is not fair. Oh Well.

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knew if a post op support group in the rochester area. Also I have looked into joining some biking groups or kayaking groups and didn't know if anyone knew of any. Hope everyone is having a great day

Dana Drummond is my doctor. She was very helpful and didn't delay. Best of luck.
